After the rip-roaring success of the Bafta-nominated live 90-minute special, TFI Friday was commissioned for 10 more live episodes between October and December 2015 featuring the usual mixture of unpredictable fun, music and bits, and some of the world’s biggest stars including U2, Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Quentin Tarantino, Julianne Moore, Daniel Radcliffe, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Noel Fielding, Mark Ronson, James Corden, Jack Whitehall, Ronnie Wood, Lionel Richie, Idris Elba, Tom Jones and some of the best new music including Florence & The Machine, Macklemore, Eagles Of Death Metal, Mumford & Sons, Wolf Alice, Rita Ora, New Order, The Vamps, Ellie Goulding, Slaves, Maccabees, James Bay and Sia. And not forgetting Chris’ co-host for the final show, the legend that is Alan Partridge.

The special, presented by (who else?) Chris Evans, was a celebration of the iconic, anarchic show, first broadcast in 1996, looking back at just some of the brilliant moments in its colourful history, as well as introducing some brand spanking new features.

TFI Friday was at the heart of 90s Britpop, and saw the best bands in the country queuing up to appear and, once again, music formed a hugely important part of this very special show.

Who could forget segments such as Freak or Unique, Ugly Bloke or Fat Lookalikes – just a few of the regular features in the show that spawned a new wave of raucous TV.
