First Time Farmers is a new five-part observational documentary series looking at all aspects of farming life through the eyes of the younger generation. Set in the picturesque English countryside, these fresh faced individuals are certainly not your average looking traditional farmers – they are the hard-working modern breed of the farming generation breathing new life into the agricultural world. Filmed over a six-month period, the series lifts the lid on the dilemmas, pressures and daily grind faced by these young farmers. A career in agriculture doesn’t mean it’s all work without play, they will share how they balance life living on the farm and if there is any room left for love, laughter and partying with mates.

First Time Farmers is back, lifting the lid on the lives of 12 ambitious young farmers spread across the British countryside. Some of them have had their careers mapped out since birth, inheriting family farms built by generations before them. Some have branched-out to straddle careers as builders and even estate agents. Others are becoming skilled in agriculture from scratch with almost no farming background at all. But they all have one thing in common, they’re juggling the antics of farmyard life with those of being an average fun loving twenty-something.
